About Me

I’m a fifty-something German trad musician building an Irish repertoire on the whistle as a retirement project.

I can read music but I realised learning ITM is much easier without the dot-detour.

If I start working on a tune from dots, it takes me much longer to learn it by heart than when I absorb it from ABC notation. The quickest way I’ve found to learn tunes (so far...) is to use color-coded ABC, reducing the structure as much as possible.

Do it your way

I’m not trying to convince you that dotfree infographics are THE one way to success – because I don’t know and it might be completely different for you.

But I’m sharing my learning materials with anyone who might be interested.

Some tracks and materials are free of charge, some are available for a small fee to cover some of my costs.
